Our Approach

About Us

Founded in February of 1994, by a licensed/certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser J. Daniel Nolan. Mr. Nolan launched a mission to own and operate a very successful appraisal company. The appraisal company was to be called Baltimore Appraisal & Realty Co./Appraisal Company of America, located in Towson, MD at the the Court House Commons buildings, later moving to the Govans area in Baltimore City.

J.Daniel Nolan has been personally performing real estate appraisals for more than 25 years.  He also has court experience in providing expert witness testimony. Mr. Nolan is dedicated to the business and takes pride in every assignment he takes on no matter what the type may be.

We have a team of certified appraisers and FHA appraisers that cover 5 states including Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware.  Over the years our dedicated team has been the preferred choice for thousands of Residential, Small Commercial, and Personal use appraisals. Our company has had the pleasure to assist many banks, law firms and mortgage companies. We continue to succeed over the years by offering reasonable fees, quick turn times, and polite customer service not only to our clients but the many borrowers that we have met along the way.

Recently our company has expanded to offer a new service which is a Desktop Valuation. This Desktop Valuation can be completed without going out to the property from right at our desk! You're probably asking " How that is even possible?" Well, we rely on the clients to provide us with the most accurate information they have. Here's how it works: You send us photos, we research the property as well as it's current tax record. This type of appraisal is ideal not only for fighting tax assessments, but also for a homeowner who is interested in selling their house or for a person who wants to stay up to date on the current market value of their home.

Our goal is make sure our clients are 100% satisfied and will look forward to working with us again!
